Yoga Day, BES Athlon and Jeevanotsav: our year of activities

Three events shape our school year. Here is what each one is about and why it matters to our children.

Learning at our school does not stop at the classroom door. We follow the programmes set by the Education Department each year, and we also hold our own competitions and celebrations.

Yoga Day: 21 June

International Day of Yoga is marked on 21 June every year. Our pupils take part in a yoga session that builds balance, wellbeing and healthy habits.

BES Athlon: usually December

The BES Athlon is the sports meet for primary and pre-primary children. It celebrates teamwork, participation and sporting spirit, and our pupils have been recognised with the B.E.S. Athlon trophy.

Jeevanotsav: our annual commemoration

Jeevanotsav brings the school community together to commemorate Late Shri Vinubhai Valia, the Founder whose commitment to education and social service continues to inspire us.

Competitions through the year

Our students and teachers also compete in R/C ward inter-school competitions, and our children take part in the BMC Mayor Drawing examinations every year. See our awards and recognition for recent results.

Dates for the BES Athlon and Jeevanotsav are shared on the notice board once confirmed.
